The Friends of Woodburn Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Woodburn Public Library and library programs. We provide funding for the Summer Reading Program, Music in the Park, Christmas children’s programs and adult programs throughout the year. In addition, our group has provided funding for special collections, such as ESL (English as a Second Language) materials.
Because of our interest in the Woodburn Public Library, we want to focus attention on the library and stimulate the use of its resources and services. We encourage the donation of gifts, bequests, and endowments to benefit the library. The Friends organization cooperates with the library in developing services and facilities for the community, and lends legislative support where needed.
We sell community donations and library discards at the Friends Corner in the Woodburn Public Library lobby. Twice yearly we host a 2-day Book Sale in the Carnegie Room at the Library. Donation jars are available at Friends-funded events. Community contributions are always welcome, as are other fund-raising ideas.
The Friends of the Woodburn Public Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. We urge you to consider listing it as a tax deductible donation.
