Books are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal System. Circulating books are shelved at the south end of the library. (See map.)

Books may be checked out with a Chemeketa I.D. or with a public library card from a CCRLS library. Books may be kept for three weeks. Fines for late return of library materials are 25 cents per day.
Reserve books and articles are put on reserve by an instructor for his/her class and may be requested at the Circulation Desk. Reserve books are checked out for two hours for use in the library; some check out for longer periods and may be taken home. Fines for late return of a Reserve item are 25 cents an hour.

Reference books cannot be checked out. They are shelved in the area to the right of the Reference Desk.
Fiction is classified according to the Dewey Decimal System in the 800s. There is also
a small collection of paperback books shelved in the southwest corner of the library. Paperbacks are arranged
alphabetically by author's name.
